Install Pagemaker 6.5 On Windows 7

It's good to know there is somebody out there that loves Pagemaker 6.5 as much as I did. I will admit that I eventually convinced myself to attempt to learn at least a little bit about Microsoft Word since everywhere wanted my resume in Word format, even though it's not nearly as easy to use and doesn't have (at least in my opinion) as many features.

But anyway, back to your question, you will probably need to run it in compatibility mode. To do this, once you have it installed, right-click the shortcut, go to Properties, and under the Compatibility tab, select the appropriate settings. I have not actually done this, because as much as I loved it, Pagemaker's days are kind over. I guess I can only hope that Microsoft adds a component to Office that is as featured and easy to use. But just as a word of advice, I would suggest making an attempt at transitioning yourself to Word, since I don't believe Adobe even supports Pagemaker anymore (see ), and it doesn't seem to be accepted by many places anymore. Have had great success transfering contacts, files etc- but I am having trouble loading my version of Pagemaker 6.5 onto computer. What do I need to do to accomplish this task- realize the software is old version- but I would like to use it - rather then having to buy new version - if possible. Is there a way to make 6.5 Adobe Pagemaker work with Windows 7?? Dmv checklist driving test. Nathan Sokalski. Email address is removed for privacy. http://www.nathansokalski.com/.

Found out that the secret trick to installing Pagemaker 7 and Photoshop 7 on Windows 7 64 bit is just to wait a long time. It looks like it’s failed to install, but.

Installation seemed normal, well, except that I couldn't install the HP4M+ driver. Had to do a Windows Update that took almost 15 minutes. Then I installed the 600dpi PCL driver and subsequently the 600dpi Post Script driver, making that my default. Sent a print job to the printer, and it executed normally except that the printer didn't issue a print! It never seemed to get the job and Windows didn't show anything in the print queue, WTF. So, I send the job to the PCL driver and it printed.

Why PS isn't working, I can't guess. It's a network printer, I didn't print a test page, but I assume that wouldn't have printed either.
