AWARDS Community Development Council & Citizen's Consultative Committee-Institute of Technical Education (CDC & CCC-ITE) Scholarship The CDC & CCC-ITE Scholarship is open to Singaporean school leavers who have enrolled into full-time Higher Nitec and Nitec courses and are in the top 10 per cent of the GCE ‘N’/GCE ‘O’ level entrants at each intake exercise. Company-sponsored students admitted to full-time courses at ITE are also eligible for the scholarship. Recipients will be informed by ITE. No application is required. The scholarship will be given for the duration of the course.

For recipients in a 2-year course, renewal in the second year of study is subject to their performance and conduct during the first year of study. The value of the award is $1, 600 per year. Recipients of the CDC & CCC-ITE Scholarship will not be eligible for the Edusave Merit Bursary or CDC & CCC-ITE Bursary. Howe Yoon Chong-PSA Scholarship The Howe Yoon Chong-PSA Scholarship provides financial assistance to Singaporeans from lower income families to upgrade themselves through attaining formal qualifications and/or technical skills. The scholarship is open to Singapore citizens aged 25 years and below who are admitted to a full-time Higher Nitec or Nitec course and whose Gross Monthly Household Per Capita Income is $750 and below. For applicants with GCE ‘O’ qualification, the aggregate score for English Language, Mathematics and best 3 subjects must not exceed 26 points.

Edusave Awards for Achievement, Good Leadership and Service (EAGLES) The EAGLES is a scheme that gives recognition to full-tiime ITE students for their leadership qualities, service to community and excellence in the non-academic areas, i.e. Sports & Games, Art and Cultural Activities, Clubs and Societies and Community Service.

Up to 10% of ITE full-time Higher Nitec and Nitec students who are Singapore Citizens will be selected for the award yearly. No application for the award is required. The cash quantum of each award is $500. Edusave Merit Bursary The Edusave Merit Bursary is awarded to ITE full-time Higher Nitec and Nitec students in recognition of their academic performance. Singapore Citizens who are ranked within the top 25 per cent of their course based on their examination results for the training year and have a Gross Monthly Household Income not exceeding $6,000 (or per capita income not exceeding $1,500) will qualify for this award.

ITE Arts Excellence Award The objectives of the ITE Arts Excellence Award is to recognise quality contributions by students to the ITE arts scene and to motivate on-going students to excel in music and the arts. Full-time Higher Nitec and Nitec students who have a good record of CCA, exemplary conduct, positive attitude and outstanding arts &/or music achievements/performance in ITE will be nominated for the award. ITE CCA Medal The ITE CCA Medal is awarded to Full-time Higher Nitec and Nitec students who have brought honours to ITE through their achievement in music and arts, sports and games or have contributed significantly to the enhancement of College life and demonstrated outstanding leadership in their chosen CCA.

The awardees will be selected from among the recipients of EAGLES. Recipients of an equivalent incentive award will also be considered on a case-by-case basis. Lee Kuan Yew Model Student/Trainee Award The Lee Kuan Yew Model Student/Trainee Award is presented to full-time Higher Nitec and Nitec students and trainees who have performed consistently well in their course and have displayed outstanding conduct and attitude worthy of emulation by their peers. The Award serves to inspire students and trainees to display exemplary behaviour in training and develop high moral values as well as show care and concern for others. A maximum of 10 awards will be presented each year. The Award comprises a cash quantum of $400, a trophy and a certificate. Singapore Armed Forces-ITE Sponsorship Scheme (SISS) and Military Domain Experts Scheme Study Award (MSA) ( Higher Nitec/ Nitec) Students seeking admission into ITE full-time Higher Nitec and Nitec courses may apply for sponsorship under SISS or MSA ( Higher Nitec/ Nitec).

Under these schemes, the SAF will provide ITE students with sponsorship of their studies, which covers tuition fees and other compulsory fees. In addition, they will receive a monthly allowance ranging between $550 to $750, depending on course and the type of vocation applied for. Sponsored students are required to serve a bond upon completion of their ITE courses. They may choose to join the Army, Navy or Air Force. ITE Monthly Financial Assistance Scheme (MFAS) and Special Student Assistance Scheme (SSAS) The ITE MFAS scheme aims to provide monthly allowance to needy full-time Singaporean students who face special hardship circumstances and require regular financial assistance to help them with daily expenses. The quantum of award is $150 per month.

The number of months of award shall be decided by the College based on the needs of the case. The ITE SSAS scheme is a one-off financial assistance to tide students over short-term financial difficulties. It also serves as a form of transitional financial assistance to help students tide over sudden financial crisis in the family, so that they can continue with their studies. The quantum of award shall be decided by the College based on the needs of the case (typically in the range of $100 to $400). To apply for the financial assistance, an applicant will be required to submit an on-line application form for financial assistance and submit the supporting income documents (eg latest payslips, letters from employers) to the College where he/she is studying for verification. Successful applicants will be informed by the Colleges.
